Judge Rules Caregivers Can’t Share Meds in Montana

KALISPELL, MONTANA – A Montana Judge ruled that Medical Marijuana Caregivers cannot buy or give medication to each other today. The case stems from a traffic stop involving two men who were stopped and officers found three pounds of marijuana. The original story reported by the Billings Gazette and AP says the judge upheld a prior courts ruling saying the law clearly states that caregivers can only provide marijuana to qualifying patients. Judge John Larson of the Missoula County court ruled similarly back in April. The case will be appealed to the Montana Supreme Court.
